The beginning of this week saw the unceremonious ouster of Yahoo!’s CEO, Carol Bartz, over a telephone conversation with Roy Bostock, the company’s Chairman. In what comes as her first exclusive interview, post her ouster, to the prestigious Fortune magazine, Bartz shared details that didn’t quite make for a pleasant read. In her exclusive interview with the magazine, Bartz was questioned over the several facets of her career with Yahoo! since 2009. When asked by the interviewer about her views on the Yahoo! board and her subsequent suspension, Bartz immediately replied, “These people f---ed me over!

The interview further revealed that Bartz was scheduled to have a telephonic conversation with Bostock at 6pm, the day the news of her ouster came out. Once Bostock came on the line - Bartz narrates - he began reading to her a statement of her dismissal prepared by his lawyer. Bartz, not quite liking Bostock's way of breaking the news to her, shot back at him saying, "I said, 'Roy, I think that's a script. Why don't you have the balls to tell me yourself?" The interview also reveals that towards the end of the conversation with Bostock, all that Bartz added was, "I got it. I got it,", "I thought you were classier."
