On Tuesday, a person allegedly associated with the notorious hacker group, LulzSec was arrested in the UK for supposedly hacking into SOCA. The accused person, a 19-year old, Ryan Clearly was snitched by two hackers who go by the aliases M_nerva and Hann that supposedly provided information for arresting the teenager. Through a Twitter post, LulzSec scoffed at these alleged associations and claimed that Ryan Cleary was not part of LulzSec and that they house one of their many legitimate chatrooms on his IRC server.

According to a story first reported by BBC, Ryan Cleary was arrested in Wickford, Essex. Scotland Yard had followed a series of Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks and managed to catch the accused. BBC claims that Metropolitan Police's e-crimes unit had confirmed the raid was linked to the recent intrusion attacks on the websites of the CIA and Britain's Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). Cleary was arrested under the Computer Misuse Act and Fraud Act and is being questioned at a Central London police station.

In a public message to the FBI, LulzSec have leaked the personal information of Marshal Webb (m_nerva) and Michael Dean Major (Hann). In the Pastebin post, LulsZec claims that M_nerva was involved in the hacking of the game Dues Ex and is involved in countless other cybercrimes. While M_nerva’s associate Hann was also wanted for some pretty heavy stuff. The hacker group LulzSec claims that Marshall Webb tried to snitch on them. Therefore they did the FBI's job for them by identifying him and his associate. LulzSec went on to say that these goons begged them for mercy after they apologized to them all night for leaking some of their affiliates' logs. They go on to say that there is no mercy on The Lulz Boat.

Through Twitter, LulzSec posted, “Clearly the UK police are so desperate to catch us that they've gone and arrested someone who is, at best, mildly associated with us. Lame.” A Twitter account associated to hacker groups LulzSec and Anonymous called the The Real Sabu said “RIP Ryan. Narced by m_nerva aka cimx aka rq42 and hann. Ryan hosted IRC for ED and other chans. Had nothing to do with LulzSec.”

In related news, LulzSec have just tweeted that their Brazilian unit was making progress with Brazilian government websites, brasil.gov.br and presidencia.gov.br being taken down.
