Have an NFC-enabled device? You could walk away with a free Guinness pint

Technology can be used in a variety of ways, and many companies have been putting that statement to the test with a range of innovative promotional campaigns. Now, Guinness, the company behind the popular Irish dry stout, has also rolled out a campaign in the UK that gives users with an NFC-enabled Android and BlackBerry a chance to walk away with a free pint of beer. While a free beer may not be much incentive for some people it should be remembered that free stuff is, well, free stuff.
Tastes great, especially when free
This is not the first time companies have used technology in an innovative way. Samsung recently conducted a face-off promotion to give aspirants a chance to walk away with a free Galaxy S4. The promotion saw the company challenging users to a “one hour stare-down” contest to show off the smartphone’s eye-tracking technology.
