Transcend has announced an artistic new addition to its high-speed line of USB flash drives – the 16GB JetFlash 168 – in India. This follows close on the heels of the recent launch of the rather polished V85 flash drive. Inspired by "ancient oriental culture", the JetFlash 168 is designed to represent a balance of technology and oriental beauty, and features an etched lotus blossom motif that symbolizes purity and perfection. Its dimensions are 61 x 18.6 x 9.8 mm. Austin Huang, Regional Head - Sales, SAARC & APAC, Transcend, said, "USB Flash drives find favor with almost everyone these days because of their ease of use, small size, reliability and cost-effectiveness. However, many of our customers have been demanding a USB drive that they could proudly flaunt as a style statement. The latest offering from Transcend, the 16GB JetFlash 168, is a perfect example of harmony between technology, performance, looks and style that will surely impress those who like their gadgets to be fashionable!" The JetFlash 168 supports Windows Vista ReadyBoost technology; which lets you use your flash drive as extra memory to speed up your computer. Users can download and install JetFlash Elite software on to the drive; this includes seven data management functions: Website AutoLogin, PC-Lock, Mobile Favorites with NoTrace browsing, Secret-Zip Encryption, Mobile Email, DataBackup, and Online Update. The JetFlash 168 supports Windows Me/2000/XP/Vista, Mac OS, and Linux. The drive is available in 1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB capacities, and comes with Transcend's three-year warranty. The price? Rs 17, 000. |
