MapmyIndia have collaborated with Qualcomm Incorporated to announce the launch of their new CarPad. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S1 processor, and comes with a 7-inch capacitive touch display, 3G connectivity and a 3D GPS navigation interface.

The CarPad comes pre-installed with Aura, their latest navigation interface – with 3D navigation for maps, including house numbers, as well as city and travel guides. All the maps are pre-installed on MapmyIndia CarPad, making it independent of the network.

It will be bundled with the car kit’s head-rest and windshield mounts that allow them to be used in the car’s back or front seats. For connectivity, it will have in-built 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

The MapmyIndia CarPad will be priced at Rs. 22,990 (which includes the CarPad device with 3G, Wi-Fi, 8GB SD card memory, pre-installed MapmyIndia Navigator Aura, as well as the car-kit containing the headrest mount, windshield mount, CarPad holder and car charger).
