Well-known global navigation services provider, TomTom has made its Indian debut. The Amsterdam-based company has launched its Via series of navigational devices, as a part of its PND range in India. Beginning from next month, customers will be able to purchase these devices. The Via series will cater to the unique needs of the Indian driver, by providing ‘automotive-grade quality maps’ spanning through the length and breadth of the country. TomTom's Via series of navigation devices compromises of - Via 100, Via 120 and Via 125.
The Via 125
The launch of the Via series in India also marks the debut of Landmark Navigation technology in India. The Landmark Techology, adds TomTom, will help those driving have easy access to the nearest point of interest, whether it is a monument or a park. Those planning on getting themselves Via 125 or Via 120 would benefit from the latest Voice Control functionality, thereby letting them just talk into the navigation device, voicing out directions without compromising on their safety. Especially for the customers in India, TomTom will roll out a 'HelpMe!' emergency feature, whereby users will be able to immediately locate emergency services like the nearest hospital, or any other emergency assistance. Here's a detailed look at what the TomTom Via series will look like in terms of specifications:
The Via 120
The TomTom Via 100, Via 120, and Via 125 will be available for purchase from next month onwards, for a price tag of Rs. 15,000. It will be made available across leading retailers such as Reliance Digital, Reliance Autozone, Car Nation. Additionally, as many as 70+ independent car accessories across the country will have the Via series available. It will be also available online at Flipkart. |
