AMD barely launched their latest Southern Islands GPU, the HD 7970 and we already have news about their forthcoming project, codenamed ‘Sea Islands’. The news doesn’t come from AMD, however, as they’ve refused to comment on this. This leaked from an ex-employee of AMD, named Alexander Shternshain. He was an MTS Design Engineer at AMD who worked on previous GPUs like Evergreen, Northern Islands, Fusion APUs as well as Southern Islands and the upcoming Sea Islands. ![]() Radeon HD7000 will only come in 2012
