After motherboards, Elitegroup Computer Systems (ECS) is now venturing into graphics cards in India. The cards are based on NVIDIA's GPUs and will be distributed by Mediatech India, the second distributor for ECS after Cyberstar. The current line-up only consists of entry-level cards with mid range and high-end to follow shortly.

The launch of the ECS graphic card range in India is looked upon by the company as the next big step, in line with its ongoing market expansion plans for India. "India is emerging to be a very promising market segment for ECS and the launch of our new range of video graphic cards will definitely boost and strengthen our brand presence in the country, " said Adam Chou, ECS Marketing Director, Product Marketing Division.

"The demand for graphic cards is definitely on the rise in India," said Piyush Chaterbhoj, Managing Director, Mediatech India. "ECS is known in India as a brand that offers high performance products at attractive prices points. The launch of its NVIDIA GeForce FX GPUs is bound to excite gamers and graphic intensive application users keen on high performance graphic cards at attractive price points.

ECS will initially make available NVIDIA GeForce N5200-128TT, N7300LE-128TY, N6600LE-128DV and N6600LE-268DY GPUs in India. Subsequently, ECS will introduce other NVIDIA VGA cards including N7950GT-512MX, N7900GT-512MX and N7900GS-256MX in the market.
