XFX Introduces the HD Radeon 6950 and the HD Radeon 6970

XFX today announced the launch of AMD’s HD 6900 series of Graphics Cards for the Indian market. The XFX AMD Radeon HD 6970 and HD 6950 are the latest in the enthusiast series of Radeon HD graphics cards, which are built specifically with hardcore gamers in mind. But for those who need something special, XFX will also offer additional versions and special editions of these cards to custom-fit the specific needs of the gamer. Available in both single and dual fan cooling solutions, plus the XFX factory overclocked Black Editions which are guaranteed to be one of fastest products in their respective categories.

Crysis at 60 fps...here we come! Yeah, right.


The HD 6950 and HD 6970 are second generation DirectX 11-capable graphics cards which have HDMI 1.4a and DisplayPort 1.2 solutions for Stereoscopic 3-D gaming. The 2GB DDR5 RAM is capable enough of delivering amazing performance even in the most intense gaming scenarios. With the HD 6000, AMD debuts its 3E Technology, a new trilogy that incorporates AMD Eye-Definition, AMD Eyefinity and AMD EyeSpeed.

Introducing the cards in India, Mr. Kapal Pansari, Director, Rashi Peripherals, said, “XFX lends an exciting finish to the year 2010 with launch of HD 6970 & 6950 cards in India. An ideal solution for 3D gaming and multimedia requirements for desktops, these cards can be custom fit to meet the needs of individual gamer, making it an ideal New Year gift for gamers across the country”.

While XFX hasn't mentioned the prices on these badboys, be sure to check back as we will update them when the prices roll in.

UPDATE: The XFX HD 6950 and HD 6970 will retail for an MOP of Rs. 17,325 and Rs. 22,550 respectively.
