| by Rossi Fernandes | Graphics Cards

Those looking for a mid-range graphics card for gaming now have another option to consider. XFX has launched their new Radeon HD6790 graphics card at Rs. 9,000. XFX has gone with a custom cooler design on the HD6790. Unlike the single fan cooling system on the stock HD6790, XFX has plugged in a large dual-fan cooling solution on their HD6790.

The Radeon HD6790 runs at a clock speed of 840 MHz and uses 1 GB of DDR5 memory on a 256-bit memory interface. All of the standard features expected of a high-end Radeon 6000 series GPU are present on the HD6790 GPU. All display output connectivity options are taken care of, as well. The card comes with DVI, HDMI and mini-DisplayPort outputs. XFX claims that the new cooler design should offer lower noise, better cooling which in turn should help in overclocking the card. The card is available at an approximate market price of Rs. 9,000 and comes with a three-year warranty.
