Dailytech has reported that Asus expects to launch its XG Station external graphic card for laptops later this month. The product which had been first shown at CES earlier this year, will not be available to direct consumers. Asus will instead ship it directly to OEM and channel partners. The XG Station works by taking advantage of a laptop’s ExpressCard slot. This allows the laptop to utilize the PCIe x16 slot for additional graphical processing capabilities. In addition to the enhanced video capabilities, the XG Station features audio output capabilities and comes with a large LED display that displays vital system information. |
