Never one to miss a trick, Nvidia is all set to release a powerful new flagship model, simply called the 9800 GX2. In the report by HardOCP, the new card has been described as an 8800 GPU which will be made on a 65nm process and pack in a SLI configuration reminiscent of the older 7950 GX2 card. It is expected to 30 percent faster than the current 8800 GTX, and rumored to have Quad-SLI support. We hope this card is able to get optimized drivers and won't suffer the same problems as the 7950 GX2 did. Not only did that card suffer from lowered performance, it ran into a fair bit of heating problems as experienced by this reviewer. For further news and pictures of this product head over here. |
