The PlayStation 3 has been famous among gamers for the ability to get free games thanks to a subscription to PlayStation Plus. Sony has announced on the PlayStation Blog that the PlayStation Plus service, along with all the free games, will be available on the PlayStation Vita on November 19, as part of the next PS Vita system Software Update, numbered v2.00.
All the benefits of the PS Plus subscription from the PlayStation 3 will apply to the PS Vita as well, including exclusive discounts and bonus features. A PS Plus subscription also gives you the ability to store game save files on Sony's cloud.
Once you update your PS Vita to v2.00 and PS Store publishes next Tuesday, PS Plus members will be able to download the Instant Game Collection, which includes PS Vita games Uncharted: Golden Abyss, Jet Set Radio HD, WipEout 2048, Gravity Rush and Tales From Space: Mutant Blobs Attack!, as well as Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions - which was originally a PlayStation Portable game.
Those who are already subscribed to PS Plus through the PlayStation 3 will be able to use PS Plus on the PS Vita at no additional cost.
Instant Game Collection will be making its way to the Vita
Earlier this month, Sony had unveiled the list of free games for PS Plus subscribers for November. Along with Crysis 2 on November 7, PlayStation Plus subscribers got Ratchet and Clank All 4 One, Cubixx HD on the same day. Along with this, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition and Bulletstorm will still be available for download from the previous month. The games that were removed on the same day were Just Cause 2 and Borderlands.
Ratchet and Clank All 4 One is an action/ platformer game that allows players to play as Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark and Dr Nefarious in Co-operative gameplay. In four-player story quests, you must work together using each character's unique skills as well as sharing weapons between players in order to solve puzzles and eliminate the opposition.
Cubixx HD is a fast paced puzzle game that has 50 arcade levels to work through along with 50 challenges to test your skills. There are also 150 online leaderboards available, or you can join forces with your friends in the seven-player co-operative mode. There is also a seven-player deathmatch.
Originally released in March 2011, Crysis 2 is a visually stunning, high-concept FPS with a gripping storyline written by sci-fi veteran Richard Morgan.
Set in the year 2023, three years after the events of Crysis, you’ll find yourself in control of a Force Recon Marine named 'Alcatraz', who gains ownership of the Nanosuit 2.0 from Army Delta Force officer Laurence 'Prophet' Barnes, who you will remember from Crysis.
