Asus has launched a new media player called the O!Play Mini Plus. One of the key features of this new player is its support for many online media services. Asus claims that the O!Play Mini Plus can pull content from services such as Mediafly, Dailymotion, Facebook, YouTube, Picasa, Flickr and many other services which include online radio and TV stations. Users can choose to share videos and photos on Facebook really quickly with a press of a button, according to Asus. Similar design, new abilities
Gigabit network capability is built into the player and so is Wi-Fi 802.11n. There’s also an Android app available called the ASUS O!MediaShare, which allows users to stream media from the tablet or smartphone to the TV. The media player can also play media from USB flash drives, hard drives, as well as memory card and file shares on the network. Like most of the other media players in the market, there’s support for almost every popular image, audio and video format out there. The ability to connect to Facebook and Dailymotion will be added in October 2011 as part of a firmware upgrade. The Asus O!Play Mini Plus sells with a one-year warranty with a price tag of Rs. 7,949, excluding taxes. |
