Panasonic launches a range of Smart VIERA HDTVs in India

Building on their range of VIERA TVs, Panasonic, at an event in New Delhi have recently announced their new lineup of SMART VIERA flat panel televisions, which focuses on five key aspects that include picture quality, networking, ease of operation, design and being eco friendly. These models ranging from 24 to 55 inches are priced between Rs. 13,990 and Rs. 3, 20,000. The brand claims that with the latest series of Smart VIERA TVs, home theatre systems and DVD players, Panasonic aims to further strengthen its product portfolio by bringing new entertainment experiences for customers’ right into their living room with the 30 new models unveiled.

With select VIERA Connect models, Panasonic have also introduced a new range of smart applications which allow consumers to interact with their Smart VIERA TVs. Here is a look at some of the new applications found:

Swipe and Share – With this feature, consumers can share private content via the VIERA remote App. This allows one to enjoy photos, music and movies on VIERA and their smartphone anytime and can even display the same web pages on VIERA and smart phone with ease.

Browse and Share - This app enables the browser to support HTML5 pages, so that consumers can browse the internet on the TV like a PC. Unlike a PC, though, the large screen allows the whole family or a group of friends to view a wide variety of content.

Watch and Chat - With this application, one can to stay in touch with their friends through Twitter or Facebook timeline which gets displayed on the side screen while watching TV. Sports fans can watch live games along with chatting with their friends as the game unfolds. One can either use their smartphone or a Bluetooth compatible keyboard as a remote control for writing text.
