Bang and Olufsen Release BeoSound 5 Player

Bang & Olufsen has unveiled its first digital audio system - the BeoSound 5 - with a unique playlist technology.

Referred to as a “modern-day juke box”, the BeoSound 5 features the award winning ‘MOTS’ (More Of The Same) intelligent playlist technology. This is an intuitive graphical user interface – that has the ability to automatically capture the unique musical identity of a track and then create a playlist of similar music.

It also features a 10.4-inch LCD display, an aluminum wheel, tactile buttons and a laser pointer to view and navigate through content. There is also a separate unit called Beomaster 5, which offers 500 GB storage space and internet connection.

The Bang and Olufsen Beosound 5 costs $5900, and that's quoted as a starting price.
