New JBL Car Audio Head Units Launched in India

Harman International Industries Incorporated announced the launch of two new car stereo head units in India, the JBL GT-X333 and JBL GT-X555. The GT-X333 bids adieu to the system of playing CDs, as it does not have a CD player. Instead, you can use a USB stick, SD card, iPod or even a mobile phone to play your music. The GT-X555 has all the features of the GT-X333, but includes the CD player. Both head units also have an inbuilt radio tuner.

The JBL GT-X333 - welcome to the digital age.

‘Customers are paying for technology they don’t use, when they buy a car player with a CD mechanism’ says Sam Kapasi, Brand Director in India. ‘I cannot remember when I last played a CD in my car. Usually people prefer to listen to a USB stick or their iPod on the go. Instead of focusing on redundant technology, the GTX-333 features a great output stage and even features 3 X 4 V line out for further connections to amplifiers and Subwoofers. There is no head unit offering these features at these prices.’

‘Connecting every music lover to their music no matter where they are what JBL is all about’, said Santhosh Kumar, Country Sales Manager for JBL in India. ‘We’re excited to unveil same amazing sound, and set the tone again with this new category of car audio.’
