Time to break the Jedi robe out of the closet. Developers have hacked Microsoft’s Kinect and have delivered something amazing. Students at MIT’s Media Lab Fluid Interfaces Group have developed a program that makes Javascript talk to Kinect in order to navigate web pages. Want to have a look at how it all works, check out the video here Impressive..this tech is!! Another cool hack for the Kinect is the gesture based solution from Evoluce. It has support for simultaneous multi-touch and multi-user control. It runs on Windows 7. Hope this trend catches on and Microsoft brings this sort of tech to the public, without the need of hacks. |
