Buffalo Technology, manufacturers of wired and wireless networking and direct attached storage solutions have announced the launch of their HD-PZU3 Series MiniStation Extreme, portable hard drive. This latest addition to Buffalo’s portfolio of USB 3.0 storage solutions aims to provide consumers with a more reliable way to store, back up and transport their content safely and securely. The MiniStation Extreme
MiniStation Extreme comes in a ruggedized, light weight shock proof chassis and is equipped with a wrap-around USB cable, a rubberized base, shock protection elements and hardware encryption. With USB 3.0 support and backward compatibility to USB 2.0, the Buffalo MiniStation Extreme works with nearly any PC or Mac, while providing an interface speed of up to 5 Gbps (depending on the USB interface). It features U.S Military Standard shock protection that transfers shock away from the hard disk, due to accidental bumps and drops from up to 2.3 meters. It has got no extra power supply, and is a simple plug and play device. Also, it comes with an Eco-Manager power management tool, which regulates power usage and conserves energy when the hard drive is inactive.
Buffalo Portable Hard Drives are backed by a limited three-year warranty. The HD-PZU3 Series will be available in Red, Black, and Silver colours and in 500GB and 1 TB capacities at Buffalo brand stores and Buffalo authorized retailed outlets at an estimated price of Rs.5,200 (MRP) for 500GB and Rs.7,500 for 1TB. |
