Airtel Enters Cloud Computing Space

Bharti Airtel has announced its entry into the cloud computing space with the launch of Airtel Net PC – a low-cost online computer for its broadband customers. The Airtel Net PC is a ready-to-use computer - inclusive of a 15-inch LCD monitor, keyboard, mouse and Nivio companion – priced at Rs. 7999 exclusively for Airtel broadband customers in Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida. K. Srinivas, Joint President -Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel said, "Airtel’s entry into the space of cloud computing, with the launch of the Net PC, is part of our strategic intent to remain focused on enhancing the broadband experience for our customers by offering innovative and collaborative products. This comes close on the heels of our other innovations that include the recent launch of Airtel Online Desktop and the pioneering of 16 Mbps high-speed broadband in the country." "With the Airtel Net PC, we bring a computing product for our broadband customers that is low-cost, secure and on-demand – a timely offer that will help them control costs and increase productivity," he added.
