Web18’s Cricketnext.com is all set for the cricket season, introducing the 'fastest' Online Scorecard. This product offers a light and easy to load page and user friendly interface with no clutter, and allows the user instant access to ball by ball updates. The scorecard is automatically updated with the scores of the ongoing match within a few seconds of it actually happening on ground. Along with the fastest score card, Cricketnext.com also unveils its new user interface. With a crisp and clean layout, the site allows for smooth and easy access to the various sections, on all things cricket. Cricketnext.com has also created a detailed section for all upcoming T20 matches. This encompasses all information related to schedules, fixtures, teams, players, scorecards, commentary, photos and videos. In addition, the site will host pages for all T20 teams that will provide team/player updates, and allow the user to track the performance of a team. There is also an interactive feature – where the user can discuss team developments, standings et al. All this is presented in a dashboard format so that a user/fan can, at a glance, track his/her team and player(s) of choice. Cricketnext.com also presents “My Team Best”, an innovative feature which attempts to retain interest in the T20 teams regardless of whether they make it to the semi-final or not. A team can still be judged the best based on interactive off-field parameters such as best sportsman spirit, best jersey, best visiting team, best host team, best cheerleaders and best team song. On the new initiative of Cricketnext.com, Lakshmi Narasimhan, CEO, Web18 said, “Cricket is like a second religion to most Indians and Cricketnext.com is happy to be able to bring that firsthand experience to every fan of the sport, with the Fastest Online Scorecard. We are excited to be able to create cutting-edge innovative features that provide updates and minute by minute details online, at a glance.” Also playing on the cricket fever this season, in.com will hosting the “Cricket Fantasy Game”. A contest designed for cricket lovers, it revolves around the user selecting his team, designing its brand identity and scoring as the players/teams fair in LIVE fixtures. |
