Google News Goes Mobile in India

Google has announced the availability of its news service on mobile devices in India. Indians will be able to search Google news on their mobile phones and read the latest headlines from Indian news sources by visiting news listed under http://www.google.co.in/xhtml.

Besides quick headline updates, the new service offers the ability to search current news and browse categories that enable quick and easy access to the news. Users are required to visit google.com on their web enabled mobile phone's web browser, and click the link to Google news.
Google news also provides users with the option to browse through quick links to specific news categories such as business, science and technology, sports, health, and entertainment. Moreover, the service allows only sources whose content has been designed specifically for viewing on mobile devices to be displayed, to ensure quick and easy access for users.
