Is Microsoft Racist?

26 Aug, 2009, 2:45 pm IST | tech2 News Staff | Windows

Microsoft has apologised for photoshopping the head of a black male in one of its stock photos and replacing it with the head of a white male for its Polish website.

The image on the US version of the site showed two males - one Asian and one black - and a white woman sitting at a conference table. In the same photo on the Polish site the black man's face has been replaced by that of a white man, but the color of the hand has not changed.

This photoshop job has attracted a lot of criticism and Microsoft has issued an apology and reverted the image on the Polish site to the original 'unphotoshopped' image.

Do you think Microsoft is racist or did they try to appease Poland's racist homogenity by replacing the black man with a white man? Let us know your views in the comments section below.
