Bing's launched a free iOS app, Photosynth, that allows you to take panorama pictures with your iOS device. The app was formerly just a web service and now is pretty easy to use. You launch the app, tap to start, move the device around the room, tapping to take every corner of the room. When finished, the app will piece all the pictures you take together and make a 360 degree panorama picture you can then share on Facebook, the Photosynth website, or on Bing Maps. Take 360 pictures for free
The Photosynth app is free for iPhone 4, iPhone 3Gs, iPod Touch Fourth Generation, and the iPad 2 running iOS 4.1 and later. The app will soon come to Windows phones, too. This isn't the only panorama application that you can get for your iOS device (another being 360 Panorama) but it is free and the cool part is the sharability to Bing Maps. |
