Hear ye all you Apple users, Crispapp, a Hong-Kong based app developer, has launched an app called Facebook Messenger. Instead of sticking to the plain old text-based Facebook chat, users can try Facebook Messenger to call their buddies around the world, that too without incurring any costs! Call me, Olivia :)
The app lets users call their families and friends based on the social networking site using VOIP. If you want to take a break from the talking, users can still resort to text-based chat. There are options to go through your messaging history and you can also share pictures. With Apple’s push notifications you’ll get to know when your friends reply, plus you can also check your friends' Wall.
The app has multi-tasking support, so it will run in the background while you're doing something else. Also, the app doesn't necessarily require an Apple user at the other end. So you can make iPhone to browser calls as well. The app is available in the iTunes store for $2.99 (approx Rs. 135) and you can also read more on their website. Till then, check out a demo video below. |
