eBay India has announced that they've launched an app for the iOS platform. The app, accessible on the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, can be used to shop, browse and compare prices on the go, as well as log in to their eBay accounts. The mobile app allows users to browse through over 2 million products before they make their choice of which gadget or fashion item to buy. Screenshot of eBay India on iOS
Mr. Muralikrishnan B., Country Manager, eBay India, says, "We believe that this (app) would empower the Indian consumer by enabling them to reach for their mobile phone before reaching for their wallet so that they can get the best deal."
Earlier this year, eBay India launched a mobile website, which was the first step in offering an e-commerce experience on the mobile phone. Categories offered on the eBay India iOS app include collectibles, electronics, lifestyle and media. The ‘Search’ & ‘Browse categories’ option lets users look for products they want to buy. They can then click on the product they choose to buy to read its description or details of the seller. To buy the product, users can select the ‘Buy it Now’ option and confirm the purchase by selecting the ‘Commit to Buy’ option. Payments for purchases can be done online on the www.ebay.in website through eBay India’s secure payment method PaisaPay. All purchases are secure and covered by the eBay Guarantee. Consumers can also access their My eBay account, saved searches, reminders and messages from eBay.
The eBay iOS app is available for free from the iOS App Store. |
