Gaana.com's iPad Version Using HTML5, Now Available

Upcoming and popular music streaming website, Gaana.com has now unveiled its iPad-friendly version too, using HTML5. The first one in the country to do so, the website will offer all the features of Gaana.com on the iPad for free, claims the website. The site, which came out recently claims to connected instantly with the users, thereby explaining their feat of achieving 1.4 million unique visitors to their site in the launch month. Gaana.com offers a collection of Hindi, English, and regional songs, which has been claimed to be among the largest. The songs offered are both licensed and free. The site appeared decently laid out and had almost all major listings like – New Releases, Most Popular, Playlists, Genres, Artists, Albums, People, Now Playing. The Genre listing has been further divided into categories, from A – Z, to include all major genres.
The featured playlist listing
Moving around the site, we also found several playlist listings, which had the playlists of several users, complete with the songs of their choice. Additionally, the site also contains featured playlists like Rainy Days, Mirchi Top 20, One Hit Wonders, Back to College, among others, an inclusion that seemed interesting.
Now with these services rolled out for the iPad users, Gaana.com claims that a newer dimension of interactivity on the iPad has been unearthed with the HTML5 compatibility. |
