Google completely revamped its iPhone app. For starters, instead of being called Google Mobile, it is being called Google Search for iPhone. The interface is very much like Google.com's and the app also has quick access to Google Goggles and Voice Search. Another new feature is the addition of a toolbar that also is very similar to Google.com. The toolbar can be accessed by swiping left or right on the screen and allows you to select your search results by images, news, shopping, video, blog, discussion, social and place search.

Another feature of the app is the ability to pick up from where you left off. If in the middle of your search, you have to take a phone call, you can go back to where you were in your search by tapping the lower half of your screen. The app also includes Google's list of mobile apps like Gmail and Google Earth. The app also promises to be faster and more intuitive and is a huge improvement on its previous version. |
