STAR Plus launches an app for iPhone, iPad

Popular and widely viewed entertainment channel, STAR Plus, has according to an official statement, made its foray into the 'on-to-go' entertainment by launching apps to be used on the iPhone and the iPad. The STAR Plus app, as it is called, claims STAR Plus will allow the users to view their chosen content - daily shows, and other entertainment programmes while on-the-go right on their iPhone or their iPad. By unveiling this app, STAR Plus claim to have become the first GEC in India to do so i.e make their televised content available to audiences across niche mediums, too.

STAR Plus have launched their STAR Plus app not only in India, but also in 120 other countries worldwide, adds STAR Plus. The STAR Plus app in a gist will include content like - Live TV, news and updates of all current shows on STAR Plus and recaps of aired episodes. Additionally, STAR Plus claims that users will be see a unique, built-in interactive feature on the app, using which they will be able to connect with their favorite STAR Plus characters via audio-blogs and pictures. The app, according to the announcement also features an interface, which allows the users to browse content, either show-wise or character-wise.
