Airtel Starts 3G Services in Delhi

Update: Airtel announced today that they're starting 3G services in Delhi, Gurgaon, Faridabad and Noida. “As the undisputed leader in the Indian telecom industry, we are truly driving the mobile data revolution in the country. Today, with just over a month since our rollout began, our 3G network covers around Half a Million customers, has 4500 sites and is available across 7 cities” said Atul Bindal, President-Mobile Services, Bharti airtel. “We are definitely witnessing the tipping point of non-voice and data explosion in this country and will be bringing the airtel 3G advantage pan-India soon as promised.” he added.
Thalaivas in Chennai and Coimbatore, Vanakkam! After starting off its 3G campaign in Karnataka, Airtel is now offering its 3G services in Chennai and Coimbatore. Users can avail of services like video calling, social networking, live streaming of videos as well as high speed internet and mobile TV. Airtel subscribers can avail of the services through existing sim cards. For laptop users, Airtel will be offering 3G dongles. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Atul Bindal, President-Mobile Services, Bharti airtel said, “Today, as we introduce the airtel 3G promise in namma Chennai and Coimbatore – we are delighted to bring the power of the mobile internet deeper south. A new era begins for Tamil Nadu’s mobile phone users, with high-speed internet, better access to data services including mCommerce, social networking and mHealth in a robust ecosystem of affordable 3G-ready handsets and a range of applications at affordable prices. We are happy to give one more reason for all mobile users across Tamil Nadu to join India's network - Airtel”.
