Acer Launches 3D Notebook in India

Acer has today introduced a 3D notebook - the 5738D. “The future of 3D is firming up across all shores and we are proud to bring that technology alive in India and go mainstream. The day is not far off before consumers realize the true potential of Stereoscopic 3D. Rajendran, CMO Acer India. The 3D enabled 5738D is a three pillar system that relies upon a 3D film coating on the display, polarising glasses and bespoke software to display videos, games and photos in 3D. Unique LCD Technology works well as both 2D and 3D displays to create a brilliant video and photo viewing experience. Rajan Anandan, Managing Director, Microsoft India said, “Today, technology is moving towards natural and ubiquitous computing and with the 3D notebook, Acer is changing the way users consume technology to create a deeper, more immersive experience. Windows 7 has been built to make new things possible and we are excited to collaborate with Acer to deliver greater value and innovation for our customers.” The Cinematic-style 3D home theater allows the user to both enjoy and share 3D movies and photos. Real-time 2D-to-3D playback convert technology enables the viewing of any video, DVDs, pictures and games as virtual 3D output. The notebook is HDTV ready, and is equipped with HDMI-output to any HDTV at home for a grand view and FULL HD enjoyment. The 5738DG has a Certified new generation 3 Dolby Home Theater technology that provides a true Dolby Digital experience. The 5738D series is powered by Intel and has up to 4GB of DDR3 1066 MHz dual-channel memory. High-def visual fidelity is brought to the fore with the best-in-class 3D graphics and full HD playback capability with dedicated graphics. Acer SignalUp with Acer InviLink Nplify wireless technology enhances Wi-Fi CERTIFIED network connection. This notebook offers enhanced connectivity with both 3G option and Gigabit LAN for stable and high-bandwidth wired connectivity. The Aspire 5738D series of 3D notebooks comes in two flavors, one on the Pentium dual core platform and the other on the Core2Duo platform. The Aspire 5738DzG (PDC) is available starting at 43,500 + taxes. |
