CES 2013: Sony unveils Vaio T15 full HD touchscreen Ultrabook

| by Shunal Doke | Laptops

Sony has expanded its Vaio T series Ultrabook line-up along with the option to get a touchscreen for the T Series 14 Ultrabook. It has also unveiled a new Ultrabook in the line-up—the T Series 15. The new Ultrabook has a full HD touchscreen and like the rest of the T Series line-up, uses magnesium and aluminium for the body.

The new touch enabled VAIO T Series 14 and T Series 15 will be available in Spring for about $800 and $950, which roughly translates to Rs 44,200 to Rs 52,500 at Sony retail stores and other authorised dealers.

Back in November, Sony India had unveiled the Vaio Duo 11 Ultrabook-Tablet convertible. In the official statement, Sony India stated that with its Surf Slider design, the Vaio Duo 11 switches between tablet and PC mode.

Pick up Vaio Duo 11 in one hand and use in tablet mode to browse the web or enjoy music and videos while you are travelling. In the office, slide out the keyboard to use a PC powered by the latest-generation Intel Core processor.

Sony India adds that Vaio Duo 11 puts touch and handwriting right at the heart of your Windows 8 computing experience. Write and interact with media and applications on the responsive, touch capable, super-bright Full HD OptiContrast Panel. Make notes, sketch diagrams or ring key points on your presentation with supple responses and latency. Smart text recognition even lets you quickly convert handwritten notes to text for easy archiving and searches.

The display is 29.4 cm (11.6-inch) Full HD OptiContrast Panel. Friends and family will enjoy detail-packed, high contrast pictures with a wide viewing angle – even if you’re outdoors in bright daylight.

The Quick Boot feature enables faster booting on the Vaio Duo 11. Vaio powers down into a deep energy-saving Sleep mode when required. With RapidWake + Eco, wake-up is equally faster. Optional Sheet-type battery extends battery life.
