HP has launched a new device in its Ultrabook lineup. The new Ultrabook, called the HP Envy Spectre XT, is a 13-inch notebook. Though there isn’t any word on the release date of the notebook, HP has priced the Ultrabook quite attractively. HP has also given out some of the specifications of the notebook.

The HP Envy Spectre XT 13-2001TU is powered by an Intel Core i5 3317U processor clocked at 1.7GHz and can go up to 2.6GHz through TurboBoost. The notebook also sports an HM76 chipset, along with a 128GB mSATA SSD, an HDMI 1.4a port. Tthe graphics of the notebook will be powered by an Intel HD 4000 GPU. The 13.3-inch screen will run at a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. The notebook has a 4-inch li-ion battery that will be non-removable.  An added bonus to the notebook is the addition of Beats Audio. The notebook follows the Ultrabook tradition of being portable by weighing in at 1.39 kg. The dimensions of the notebook are 0.57 / 0.69 x 12.44 x 8.8 inches. The notebook also features a backlit keyboard, much like MacBooks.

The HP Envy Spectre XT 13-inch notebook is priced at Rs. 64,990, which makes it more affordable than a MacBook Air. The problem with the Ultrabook is that it’s generic and has nothing to make it stand out from other offerings in the same category. So far, HP has only announced a 128GB model of the notebook and no other versions have been talked about.

HP’s Envy Ultrabook was launched in India earlier this year in June. The HP ENVY Sleekbook is also available in 14-inch and Envy 6 available in 15.6-inch diagonal display, powered by the latest Intel Core processors. It boasts of up to 8 to 9 hours of battery life. With optional discrete graphics, users can create and edit videos quickly and experience strong gaming and multimedia performance. With two powerful built-in speakers and subwoofers for movies and music that look and sound their best, these notebooks make sure that users feel every emotion with the optimal audio experience – Beats Audio – an exclusive, high-performance technology developed by HP and Beats by Dr. Dre. The notebooks also feature HP TrueVision HD Webcam that produces bright, clean high-definition (HD) images so they look good even in low- light conditions. The HP ImagePad is an advanced image sensor that replaces the traditional touchpad to provide better precision and improve gesture responsiveness. With the HP ImagePad, you can use natural gestures to allow creative, intuitive interaction with photos and text. One, two and three finger gestures are supported, including scroll, pinch, zoom and rotate. The HP Imagepad also includes a spun finish design.
