LG to Release New Series of IPS LCDs

LG has stepped up its LCD production, and now claims to have the largest volume manufacturer of IPS LCD panels. LG now implements the IPS Technology in its LCD TVs for the Indian market. In association with the technical analysts from LG Display and LG Electronics Korea, LG India plans to launch 35 models of LCDs by this year end, and plans to introduce the IPS Technology to its entire prospective above 22-inch LCD line up in the country.

Amitabh Tiwari, BGMH, Home Entertainment and B2B, LG India said, “With IPS Technology in all our LCDs here, we aim to establish ourselves as the technology leader attaining a market share of 33% in the LCD segment in 2009. We at LG are always striving to delight the customer with superior technology. The IPS technology is also our attempt to take television viewing to greater heights. The IPS technology will enhance MOTION picture consistent colours from all viewing angles & consumes low power. Also this panel is most appropriate for touch panel application. We believe that the IPS technology will be applauded by our valued customers.”

IPS Technology Panel is supposed to enhance the quality and performance of LCD TV sets. The horizontal arrangement of the liquid crystal molecules of the IPS technology increases the stability of the LCD set. The display panels with this technology showcase dynamic visuals thus, an unbeatable viewing experience to the consumer. The In-Plane Switching panels offer features which are very important in an LCD panel to be graded as first-class namely, perfect sharpness and faultless color restoration and the apt view angle.
