Portronics has introduced a new portable digital pedometer called the Health Key. The H-key Digital Pedometer utilises 3D Technology, which enables it to provide accurate readings in any functional position, unlike other similar products that work accurately only if placed vertically. It utilises a Digital 3D Acceleration Sensor, which aims to be more accurate than mechanical sensors that other pedometers generally use. The pedometer gives readings whether it’s up, down, flat, on its side, or at any angle.
The H-key Digital Pedometer helps you record your steps, distance, average speed, calories burned, and time spent exercising. The data is displayed on an LCD screen with a dual-row display. The Health Key Motion Digital Pedometer filters out vibrations, and only begins counting after it detects a sequence of continuous steps. It runs on coin batteries, and comes with a bonus strap and an instruction manual.

Here are a few features of the Health Key pedometer:
Priced at Rs. 1,249, the Portronics Health Key is available across the country in 2 different colours, blue and orange. The Health Key has no additional maintenance cost.
On a related note, there are several standalone pedometers available in the market. There is one from Omron, called the HJ 203 Walk Style Step Counter. Its design enables one to hang it around the neck, slip it into pockets or even clip it to one's clothes. It is a companion for those wanting to track daily walks for health and fitness concerns. It is priced at Rs. 1,450. The Portronics Health Key is a cheaper alternative, though, and it looks very nifty with its design. |
