Apple's Boot Camp: Run Windows XP on Mac

| by Aalaap Ghag | Mac OS

The community has been going nuts over getting Windows XP to boot up on the new Intel-based Macs ever since they came out. And just when they've managed to do so after a series of complicated procedures, Apple has gone ahead and made their life a little easier by releasing a public beta of Boot Camp - a preview of a feature from the upcoming Mac OS X “Leopard” release that also assists you in partitioning the hard drive and installing Windows drivers for your Mac. Apple initially didn't intend to support the use of Windows on their Intel-based Macs, but they've changed their plans now. I think it only makes sense and is also obvious. Users get state-of-the-art (and not to mention really cool looking) hardware and you get maximum compatibility with Windows software. Users get best of both the worlds and both Apple and Microsoft are happy. It's a good world!
