As part of the latest in their L-Series, Samsung has launched the ultra-compact L83T- 8 mega pixel pocket-sized camera. The L83T features Samsung’s NV lens and has an internal 3x optical zoom and a large, 2.5 inch LCD screen in a metal body with dimensions of 3.67 x .71 x 2.27 inches. The L83T offers shooters a 1cm super macro function and a maximum shutter speed of 1/2,000 sec. It includes a motion capture feature that allows users to take up to seven pictures a second. For low-light situations, it is equipped with an ISO equivalent of 1600 and is outfitted with Samsung's ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) image stabilization system to minimize the effects of your hand shaking even in dimly lit conditions. The L83T is equipped with Samsung's Wise Shot feature that takes two consecutive pictures in rapid succession — one with ASR image stabilization, and one with the flash — and prompts the user to review both and keep the preferred picture. The camera’s Face Detection feature detects up to nine faces and automatically adjusts auto focus and auto exposure in portraits and other shots featuring people. The L83T also comes with 14 scene modes, including Night, Children, Text, Sunset, Dawn, Backlight, Cafe, Food, and Self-Shot. By using the L83T’s special effects button, users can access various creative controls, including options for resizing and rotating images, adjusting brightness etc. and manipulating color such as saving captured images as B&W, Sepia, Red, Blue, Green, and Negative. With the color filter option, shooters can choose to keep a section of their saved image in color and leave the rest in black and white. This camera also has a "Fun" feature that allows shooters to create a composite photo by saving up to four individual images as one, highlight an image by sharpening the foreground and softening the focus of the background, as well as customize their saved images with photo frames, stickers of various shapes, and cartoon text bubbles. All images can be saved to the L83T's 19MB of internal memory or to an external SDHC/SD card with a guaranteed maximum of 4GB. |
