Lexar is following SanDisk and Kingmax and launching its 4GB miniSDHC (High Capacity) and 2GB microSD memory cards for mobile devices at 3GSM. SanDisk and Transcend had announced 4GB miniSDHC cards around September/October last year. Although not as cool as the 4GB microSD HC cards from SanDisk, 2GB microSD cards are good as they’ll work with current generation devices. The 4GB miniSDHC cards on the other hand are also going to need compatibility checks, with the new HC variants not being backward compatible with existing miniSD-only devices. |
