CES 2010: Company Designs Fingerprint Free Screen Protector

08 Jan, 2010, 3:32 am IST | by Shayne Rana |

One of the biggest issues gadget users who have touchscreen devices have to contend with is the fact that each time you use the device you’ve smudged the display. It’s unnerving at times to continuously have to look for a cloth or use your clothes to wipe the ‘evidence’ clean. Since CES is the place to find a solution to most gadget related issues, a company called Targus has devised a method to curb the ‘curse of the fingerprint’ issue. They’ve introduced what they claim to be screen protectors for touchscreen devices that are "fingerprint resistant."

Using Clear View technology, these fingerprint preventive screens should allow you to comfortably use your device with without it hampering feedback to the gadget and also keep it fingerprint free. They’ll be designing these screens for a host of devices starting with more popular models. The screens will retail at Rs. 456 ($9.99 USD).
