CES 2008: Motorola Shows Phones, Speakers and Headsets

Apart from these two multimedia phones, Motorola’s booth also features some of their Bluetooth desktop speakers as well as a few headsets. The EQ5 and EQ7 speakers are equipped with 3.5mm earphone jacks so they can be used with any MP3 player or such device that has a earphone or Line Out option. More importantly they support Bluetooth technology that includes A2DP profiles.

The EQ5 has a rear pop-out stand so it can be propped upright and is equipped with a rechargeable battery. The EQ7 is actually a wireless Hi-Fi Stereo Speaker system that uses audio technology from big name speaker manufacturer, JBL. The speaker system also has a built in mic so it can be used as a table top speakerphone for conference calls.

Both speakers will be available in the second quarter of 2008, but again there’s no word on the price.

Other products included some of Motorola’s wireless as well as wired headsets.
