I was waiting for the Neonode N1 because it looked small and seemed like an excellent all-in-one device, but it never got out of Europe. Now, Neonode is trying to make similar waves with the N2, another small device that looks to do it all. The N2 is a quad-band GSM/GPRS phone with a simple 2-inch, 176x220, 65k color touch screen, a 2 megapixel camera, a MiniSD memory card slot, Bluetooth, and a nice 4.7cm by 7.7cm figure fitting in at just 14.7mm. The specs aren't too impressive, unlike the first device (for its time, at least) — the display could have been higher res, a microSD slot would have been better, Bluetooth stereo A2DP would have been nice. But who are we kidding? The N2 is also probably going to go the way of the dodo by the time it tries to come out in Europe. |
