Aircel and ibibo.com have introduced First Social Gaming to Mobile Customers in India. They will offer, "Great Indian Parking wars" on the Aircel Pocket Internet, which will further expand to a catalogue of Games. The customers can log on to these games via their Facebook ID or ibibo.com ID. In Great Indian Parking Wars, users role play as owners of a street and they are encouraged to role play and do tasks along with their friends. Tasks further drive points for the users and hence a leader board that drives competition amongst friends. The key aspect here is that the social application acts as a catalyst for users to come back and pull friends to the social network every day. These games act as conversation starters and makes relationships in the social context more valuable. The game dynamics allow the users to add friends to their network, buy new cars, issue challans to cars parked on their street, block parking areas on others’ streets and lots of such interesting in-game activities which keep the user glued to the game at all times. The games do not require any downloads, and are Free-to-play for the users where there are no subscription charges involved. |
