It looks like it’s possible that we’ll be seeing yet another fashion house take to the mobile segment. Apparently Tommy Hilfiger is planning on designing and launching a mobile handset of their own. There’s no word on who the manufacturer would be or what kind of OS they’ve opted to use. Of course that’s the reason there’s nothing concrete about this news so far, but the company has wanted to get into this biz for quite a while now as there were rumors that go as far back as December of 2007. In fact it seemed like for a while there Nokia would have been their partner in this venture but we didn’t hear too much about that situation. So we’ll just have to wait and see what comes out of the grapevine in the next couple of weeks. |
