LG Launches New Chocolate Platinum KE800

Still thinking of biting into the svelte LG Chocolate KG800? Hold on a little longer–LG has just announced an upgraded version, the KE800, dubbed the Chocolate Platinum.

 

The new Chocolate Platinum has been given a complete revamp in the looks department, while still retaining the slider form factor and touch-sensitive main buttons. The main buttons still don't include the 'no' button, which means you'll still have to search the side of the phone to end a call.

There are silver trims added to the otherwise fully glossy black phone, which are golden colored in the Korean version. The new phone also has 'Chocolate' written in a very script-like font, which doesn't look too hot, in my opinion.

 

 

The KE800 is a tri-band GSM/GRPS/EDGE phone (the Korean version will be CDMA) that has a bigger QVGA (240x320) screen, an FM radio tuner, a 2 megapixel digital camera and a microSD/TransFlash card slot in addition to the 60mb internal memory. Out of the box, the new Chocolate Platinum has lesser memory (128 MB on the KG800), but the card slot takes care of that.

There is no launch date or price available yet.
