LG's Cookie Pep Comes to India

LG Electronics has unveiled the LG GD510, marketed as 'Cookie Pep' (Cookie Pop in other markets) in the Indian market. 'Cookie Pep', is a compact 3-inch full touch screen phone bundled with social networking features and is targeted at the young audience. “The all new LG Cookie Pep is in line with our strategy of introducing innovative gadgets and connecting with the youth through relatable propositions. As the name suggests, the phone will enable our young mobile users to have an unordinary fun experience. It delivers all the essentials in communication, multimedia and entertainment in a delightfully compact form. “Cookie Pep” will be actively marketed through a 360° plan and this will be our biggest campaign till date. I am positive that this phone will be an instant hit with the youngsters", said Sudhin Mathur, Business Head, Mobile Communications, LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd. LG Cookie Pep's new ad campaign will also be the first communication from the brand that will witness endorsement by the newly appointed Brand Ambassadors - John Abraham, Genelia D'Souza and Abhay Deol. Crafted from brushed aluminium, the LG Cookie Pep has a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen with a narrow 4.8 mm bezel and a 3.0 megapixel camera. The unit's sleek esign is accented by a single back lit button on the face that functions as the menu, end and cancel keys, depending on the phone's mode. Designed for social networking sociable the Cookie Pep has a fun graphical interface with pocket applications, live cricket simulation and access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace. The LG Cookie Pep is available in the market and is priced at Rs. 7,500. |
