Motorola Mobility to boost Android use in business

Motorola Mobility, the cellphone wing of Motorola, which is now a Google entity after a $12.5 billion worth buyout is testing new waters. According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, a unit of Motorola Mobility will now involve itself in selling security software that would enable security of the Android devices used by the employees in carrying out their businesses. In this day and age, when new technology brings in newer security threats, it’s essential to have a well-equipped security system in place, and helping Motorola Mobility achieve that goal is a company called 3LM, purchased by Motorola earlier in the year.

3LM, or 3 laws of mobility, however, it is being learnt can work only on those devices, which come pre-installed with extra software. The report further revealed that since June, hardware companies like Motorola, HTC, Sony Ericsson, among others have been equipping their handsets with the software, making them ready for the 3LM technology. |
