MWC 2010: LG to Debut First Meego Phone

Gearlog is reporting that LG's GW990 will be the first Meego phone. Meego is the result of the merger between Intel's Moblin and Nokia's Maemo platforms. It is a Linux-based software platform that will support multiple hardware architectures across the broadest range of device segments, including pocketable mobile computers, netbooks, tablets, mediaphones, connected TVs and in-vehicle infotainment systems. The GW990 is scheduled to launch in Korea, but LG has not revealed plans to do so in the US. |
