Nokia announces Series S40-based X2-05 and C2-05 feature phones

Nokia has just introduced two new budget handsets in their line-up that will make their way to store shelves later in Q4 of 2011 . The two feature phones are the C2-05 and the X2-05. Both phones will also come with Nokia’s very own, homegrown browser which, just like Opera Mini, compresses web pages before sending it to your phone. Users will also have access to Nokia Store for adding new apps to their phone. Nokia is also bundling Facebook and Twitter apps as standard, since no phone is complete nowadays without social networking. Finally, the C2-05 is expected to cost around 50 Euros (Rs.3,250) and the X2-05 will cost around 46 Euros. (Rs.2,990) .

The C2-05 is a slider phone and comes in a range of colours like pink, peacock blue and dynamic grey. The phone is lightweight at just 98.5g and is a dual-band GSM phone. The battery is said to offer up to 20 days of standby and  four hours of talktime. Here are some of the features of the phone:

The X2-05

The X2-05, on the other hand adheres to the candybar form factor and is more of a music and media centric phone, as is the case with all X-series phones. This size is slightly larger to make room for the bigger battery. The X2-05 is available in Black, Silver, White and Bright Red colours. The following are some of the highlights:
