Nokia Launches C1-01 and C1-02 Budget Handsets

Nokia had taken the limelight at the MWC for a while when they detailed why they rejected Android. Their partners Intel had also showcased MeeGo on a tablet. On a lower scale however, the Finnish company has launched the C1-01 and C1-02 in India. Both mobile phones are priced for the budget-segment users and don’t have any high end features to boast of. Nevertheless, we’ll take a look at their specifications.

The C1-01 has an Opera Mini browser with multimedia support for MP3, WAV, AAC+ and H.263 formats. Rest of the specs are as follows:

  • 1.8-inch 65K colours TFT display screen
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR
  • VGA Camera with video recording
  • Memory expandable up to 32 GB
  • FM Radio

The C1-02 also has a WAP-based internet browser but doesn’t have a camera like the C1-01. The mobile supports MP3, WAV, AAC+ only and have the following features:

  • 1.8-inch 65K colours TFT display screen
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and EDR
  • Memory expandable up to 32 GB
  • FM Radio

It’s clearly seen that both handsets don’t boast of any awesome features but at the same time, the C1-01 is priced at Rs. 2,789 and the C1-02 has a price tag of Rs. 2,354. I would rather opt for a low-end phone by a known brand than head for “good features” on a cheap Chinese handset.
