Nokia Maps has had another upgrade to version 3.0 Beta on Ovi. The upgrades that Nokia is bringing to the table, according to the reports, includes services like hi-res aerial imaging, instant access to real time information such as camera alerts, safety spots and traffic information where and when it’s available of course and enhanced Drive and Walk navigation and 3D landmarks for certain maps and cities. Maps 3.0 Beta works with all Nokia devices based on S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 2 except the N96. The company states that there are still a few bugs to weed out. However they have also said that an S60 3rd Edition Feature Pack 1 support is on the way. Maps Beta on Ovi works on IE6 (Windows XP), IE7, Firefox 2 and Firefox 3 (Windows XP or Vista). There doesn’t seem to be a download link yet on the Nokia Beta Labs website so stay tuned. |
